A Few Words: Okay, this is just kind of a poem I wrote because of some things that have been going on with friends of mine and some other people I know. Keep in mind as you read it that I'm not exactly a poet (and that's something I know). In other words, I'm not sure how good this poem is, but, well, take it for what you will.

This poem is dedicated to everyone who thinks this poem is about them.

BE THERE

I wish I could be there
to offer you my hand
I wish I could be there
to pause the hourglass's sand

I wish I could be there
to convince you it's not a trick
I wish I could be there
to take down the wall brick by brick

I wish I could be there
to maybe make you smile
I wish I could be there
or at least within a few miles

I wish I could be there
to make everything go away
I wish I could be there
to be at least be human, anyway

I wish I could be there
to give you a shirt to soak up the tears
I wish I could be there
to help you let out emotions held in for years

I wish I could be there
in more than spirit and heart
I wish I could be there
to help you taste the sweet and the tart

I wish I could be there
to help you defeat your own foe
I wish I could be there
to help you over the rainbow

I wish I could be there
But I will stand on this ground
Would it be wise to move
Before the lost ask the be found?

I wish I could be there
But I will stand here and wait
Respecting your space
Or maybe just asking to be
Too late
